For that inference I am usually more picky in what non-fiction I read. I have to be matter toed in the subject, but I will quickly lose interest if the author does not provide me with facts and clear renderings, good research, and vibrant prose.

I was not thrilled when I was assigned to read The Omnivores Dilemma. At least the subject was something pretty much everyone is interested ineating. But surely it will be horribly dull, I said to myself.
